Philosophy Overview
Ensure every child is safe and secure whilst in my care and/or at the campus I work at.
Ensure children feel safe to discuss their social, emotion and physical development.
Promote a range of opportunities for children to work as an individual, as a pair, a trio and as a team.
Embed Project Based Learning to promote imagination, creativity and collaboration throughout all areas of the curriculum.
Ultilise sustainable development goals into the curriculum to form purposeful links to the real world.
Provide children with the opportunity to ultilise different learning spaces (classroom, outdoors, forest school, playground, Makerspace etc)
Promote interculturalism throughout my classroom and curriculum.
Allow children to take responsible risks and develop perseverance and a 'Growth Mindset'.
Promote mindfulness in my classroom environment.
Ultilise data where necessary and purposeful to help inform planning.
Use Thinking Tools (venn, Circle map, double-bubble, diamond 9 etc) to help promote and develop critical thinking.
Promote reading through teacher-led reading to the class.
Curriculum should link where possible and link to the mina theme of that term or half-term.
Embed concepts into the curriculum and provide children with the time to develop their understanding through different child-led activities and projects.
Create lessons which are fun and engaging for all children and different learning styles.
Ultilise technology to enhance a lesson and develop a child's digital literacy and work processing skills.
Develop links with the wider community to help promote a sense of purpose when children complete team tasks.
