FOBISIA Environmental Conference 2019
I was lucky enough to be invited to the FOBISIA Environmental Conference, which was help at Bangkok Prep Primary campus. A college of mine organised the event and focussed all around sustainability and getting children out and about outdoors. Providing them with an enriching eco experience, set over three days.
I was tasked with helping children take photographs ultilising out Bangkok Prep Forest Campus and then help children from different international schools across Asia to design and make photo frames from reusable materials. Children used our Makerspace room to create their photo frames!

Conservation Project with Year 4
During our annual residential trip, our Year 4 cohort had the opportunity to help the mangrove preservation in Rayong. Children were able to walk around the mangrove an experience what the wonderful volunteers have accomplished so far.
Children then had the opportunity to release crabs into their wild mangrove habitat. Finally, children took a trip through the mangroves via long tail boat! We visited the oyster farms and learned all about how they are essential to the mangrove eco system by helping to purify the river water!

FOBISIA Creative Coding Competition
A selected group of children from years 5 and 6 are chosen to participate in this fun yet challenging FOBISIA online competition. They can choose to work individually or with a partner(s). They then have 2 weeks to complete the set task by FOBISIA. Children (and teacher!) have to give up their break and lunch times in order to complete this challenge.
I have helped children at Bangkok Prep with this competition on 2 separate occasions.

FOBISIA Primary Games
I was apart of the Bangkok Prep Primary coaching team who helped to coach and accompany our talented young squad of athletes. we landed in Phuket on Sunday 27th May ready to compete against 5 other international schools.
It was such a rewarding experience. To see all of the young athletes persevering and trying their absolute best throughout the tournament was simply inspiring. I helped to coach our football teams (boys and girls), t-ball teams (boys and girls) and also helped our athletes to be organised and ready for each event.
Running the Singapore Marathon for Urban Neighbours of Hope
I helped to raise money for UNOH for the Singapore Marathon 2018. The Bangkok Prep community managed to raise a grand total of 20, 729 Baht!
The Marathon started at 4.30am (which meant waking up at 2.30am!), there were more than 8,000 runners who ran on Sunday 9th December. All was going so well, up until the 30 km mark. My legs seemed to have a mind of their own and were reluctant to listen to instructions anymore!
However, myself and Mr. Leverton (who also ran) kept going until we crossed the finish line. I have a newfound respect for long distance runners and the amount of work they must have to put in to achieve their goals. The winner of the Singapore Marathon 2018 ran it in 2 hours and 12 minutes, whereas I ran it in 3 hours, 58 minutes and 59 seconds! All of the runners were so supportive of each other and really helped everyone to get over that finish line!
